QPR and Fulham have been put on red alert after Jay Simpson was told he can leave Arsenal.
Gunners boss Arsene Wenger admits the 21-year-old striker, who has a year left on his contract, is unlikely to be a first-team regular at the Emirates this season having failed to make a league appearance during his time at the club.
Simpson spent last season on loan at Loftus Road, while Fulham are also believed to be tracking the youngster.
However, the west London duo face competition from West Ham, Blackpool, Nottingham Forest, Millwall, Cardiff and Leicester for his signature.
His advisor, Uben Gray, said: "Jay has had discussions with Arsene Wenger and Arsenal.
"Everyone at the club only has good things to say about Jay, including Arsene, but they appreciate he needs to be playing first-team football.
"And so they are ready to let him leave, but only if the deal is right for all parties."
