QPR forward Jamie Mackie says he doesn't listen to predictions from pundits, saying that "anything can happen" in the Championship.
Many experts in the game have tipped the Hoops to struggle this season, but this isn't something which is about to unsettle the 31-year-old.
Speaking ahead of tonight's clash with Norwich City, Mackie said: "I’m not too focused on what other people would say, it’s about us and seeing if we can do well but it’s early days.
"We’ve got to build on a couple of good performances. I’m too long In the tooth to listen to predictions, and you can’t predict things in the Championship because anything can happen.
"We’ve just got to keep building on what we’re trying to do."
The fixtures come thick and fast for QPR, who travel to Carrow Road to take on Norwich City, a match which Mackie says will be a difficult test.
He said: "They’re a very good side. It’s a tough ask to go up there and get something.
"We’ve had an extra day of recovery so we’ll take that and see how we get on."
