QPR visit Charlton on opening day - and resume battle with Fulham on September 26 for the first time since Whites made mugs of Rangers on April Fools Day 2013.

That was awful, or brilliant, depending on you point of view, as Hoops saw a second-half penalty saved by Mark Schwarzer and Fulham had Steve Sidwell sent off, but still hold on for a 3-2 win.

It was 3-0 at half time after a poor performance from Chris Samba, but goals from Adel Taarabt and Loic Remy offered false hope.

The return fixture is on February 13 at Loftus Road, and the other west London derby that pits Brentford, QPR and Fulham in the same league for the first time in 67 years.

Back in 1948-49, Fulham eventually won the old Second Division (second tier) title by a point from WBA, with Rangers 13th, and Brentford 18th.

Rangers face Bees at Griffin Park on October 31 with the return on March 12, and have to no wrestle with Christmas transport to get to Ipswich on Boxing Day, while enjoying the relative luxury of a home game against newly-promoted Bristol on the final day, May 7.
