As another week of silly season comes and goes, we decided to reconvene with our QPR fans panel to discuss whether the club should look to keep in-demand stars Yeni Ngbakoto and Josh Bowler.

The speculation around Josh Bowler's future rumbles on after he rejected a new deal. What do you think should be the club's next steps?

Ben

Cashing in or offering him more money are the only options. Difficult to make a judgment as we haven't seen him play in first team too much. I hear he is a real talent though. I suppose the question would be is olly going to involve him this season? If not cash in. If he gets playing time, offer him a better bigger contract.

Jess

If Josh, doesn't want to stay, sell him. Silly money for a player who's not even proved he's good enough yet? No brainer. But I think he's making a mistake – he's more likely to get first team football at Rangers.

Tim

If he refuses to sign a new contract then we should sell. A couple of million plus a sell-on clause would be good business for the club. It's not as if he's a current first-team regular so I think we can afford to be a bit more relaxed about him.

Paul

Not seen him play but feels like we should cash in and reinvest in the squad.

Yeni Ngbakoto has been linked with a move back to France after a difficult first season at QPR. How would you analyse his first year and would you like to see him stay?

Ben

Yeni clearly has the ability to be a good championship player, however for me he has lots of question marks to answer. Based on watching him last year: does he have the desire to dig in when the team needs it? Is he physically up for the challenge in a highly physical and intense league? And can he score more goals? I'm willing to give Olly more time to work with him but I remain very sceptical.

Jess

As with Josh, if he doesn't want to stay – get rid. There should be no place at the club for players who 'want away'. Otherwise, I saw enough last season to give him more time.

Tim

For me he's flattered to deceive. Even having lost a bit of weight I still don't consider him to be anything more than an okay player at this level, so again given the financial position we're in if we can get a few million in for him and use more of, say, Shodipo or a Lualua-type loan signing then I think it would be best for all involved.

Paul

Hit and miss, perhaps not all his own fault either. One of many “on his day” players, whom we seem to have too many of. I think we could and should get better with championship experience.
