QPR are facing a left back crisis with both Jake Bidwell and Jack Robinson ruled out for the next run of games.

Bidwell has been ruled out until December after dislocating his shoulder while Robinson has had a spate of injuries over the past 12 months that have kept him out of action.

Manager Jimmy Floyd Hasselbaink can either go with the fit again James Perch, who is more natural at right back, centre back Joel Lynch or the inexperienced Niko Hamalainen when Rs host Reading on Saturday.

And the Dutchman has admitted that he will have to be creative given the unwanted situation of being without a senior left back.

“We don't want injuries in any position but with the situation regarding Jack Robinson we didn't have an out and out senior left back available to us,” the QPR boss said.

“At the moment, we are a little bit creative in the area and will look at the best option and try to go with that.”

On the injured pair, Hasselbaink added: “Jake is better than we thought. He's had the operation. It will take a little bit of time but he'll be back before Christmas if everything goes well.

“Jack was on the field with us for the first time and he looks very good. He's looking good but he needs a bit more time. He'll be back before Jake Bidwell.”
