CLINT Hill has refused to rule out staying at QPR beyond the end of the season.

The versatile defender thought his days at Loftus Road were numbered after the January arrival of Taye Taiwo forced him even further down the pecking order.

However, Hill was the best Ranger by a country mile in the 1-0 home defeat to Fulham on Saturday.

And the man sure he was on the way out at the end of the season is now not so certain after a sterling performance at centre-half where he started his career.

“Every season, every year I get written off – and I think if I play well you should see it both ways as to whether I stay or put myself in the shop window,” said Hill.

“Every one of the 25 named in the squad has been told they can’t go on loan, and I would like to play more games here.”

Liverpool fan Hill has eyes on a rare double over their fierce rivals across Stanley Park when Rangers host Everton at the weekend.

He added: “I would really like to play them again. We played them before and got a good result then, and I did start out at a centre-back, and once in a while I like to go back to playing there.”
