Charlie Austin faces a race against time to be fit for QPR's west London derby against Brentford after suffering a hamstring injury against Fulham.

The striker, who has been in excellent form this season, was forced off against the Whites on Friday and has been ruled out for approximately four weeks; Rangers travel to Griffin Park on October 30.

Jamie Mackie also suffered a hamstring injury, this time a tear, and will be out for two to three months.

The injuries leave Jay Emmanuel-Thomas and Tjaronn Chery as Rangers' forward options up but the latter faces a club fine for storming down the tunnel after being withdrawn in the first-half against Fulham.
