Chris Ramsey hope QPR bore the pants out of a global TV audience on Sunday – not to mention 18,000 inside Loftus Road.

The coach wants no more 4-3 and 3-3’s roller coasters as endured over the last two games, even if his side have claimed four vital away points.

In theory, Chelsea pose a far harder task than either WBA or Aston Villa, so Ramsey is all for a dull afternoon – except for maybe the last minute.

“I hope it’s not a good game for the neutral,” he said. “I’m hoping there’s no goals until the 91st minute and we get a penalty. We’d take that now, but the way things are going it’ll still end up 4-3.

“3-3 is a good game for the neutral, but we know we can defend better than we did at Villa.

“We’ve had two questionable periods like the Crystal Palace 20 minutes (away) and at Villa, and gave ourselves mountains to climb.”

Ramsey admits motivational team talks are bottom of his to-do list. After all, if Rangers can’t get up for feisty derby with all that’s at stake they deserve to go down.

What the coach really wants is another adrenaline surge for the next match against West Ham and the games beyond that.

“Teams like us should get ourselves up for the games not considered big,” he added.

“When you have the quality of players like Loic Remy and Eden Hazard they can always pull something out of the bag that you can't do anything about.

“The more sensible thing is to be up for the games closer to our grasp. That doesn’t mean we can’t beat Chelsea.”

Ramsey and QPR believe three wins from the last five is enough for safety, although much depends on what the rest in the bottom six are also doing.

“You have to win three games to be sure of being safe, or make sure that going into the last day of the season we’re safe or have a fighting chance,” he said.
