QPR are closing in on the signing of Brentford captain Jake Bidwell.

GetWestLondonreported earlier this summer that the Hoops were keen on the former Everton full-back, who is approaching 200 games for the Bees.

Bidwell is entering the final 12 months of his contract at Griffin Park and has yet to agree an extension.

And the 23-year-old looks set to make the switch to Brentford’s west London rivals, with the two clubs understood to be close to agreeing terms for his services.
