Ian Holloway came out fighting after the 2-1 home defeat to Huddersfield - not least because the rub of the green when it came to decisions appeared to go against QPR.

The Rs gaffer was even wondering out loud whether he should get his players to dive in order to win free-kicks after his side were tumbled frequently with no comeback.

"There were decisions there which were made difficult for the referee by them going down, and our boys couldn't get one even if they were trying to stay on their feet," he said.

"So, I've got to have a good look at myself as a manager. Shall I get LuaLua to fall over?

"They've pulled big Matt Smith to the floor and he was such an honest boy and he ran over and if you can't see that there's got to be something wrong."

But even so, Rangers lost for the seventh time at home in all competitions, and that all important first goal went to the other side.

Holloway said: "Unfortunately, this league is all about taking your chances and we created enough to score at least three and we haven't.

"I feel sorry for them at the minute because they are not getting what they deserve out of things, but that's life.

"We've got to be strong and stick together, I thought the crowd was brilliant, honestly.

"And I told the players that we haven't got an issue here, we just need to score that first goal, we needed the third goal in the game, we got it. But unfortunately we didn't get the fourth."
