QPR boss Neil Warnock admitted one of the biggest shocks he got in the 2-0 win at Crystal Palace on Saturday wasn’t the warm reception from home fans – but the debut performance of Dusko Tosic .
The Serbian left-back, on loan from Portsmouth, had a game to remember with a solid defensive display capped off by frequent overlaps as he supported Hogan Ephraim .
Warnock returned to his former club just five weeks after leaving Palace following their plunge into administration, but held up his hands over private misgivings he had for Tosic.
The manager said: “It was a good performance from Dusko – but if you had seen him in training you would have wondered if they were the same person.
“His work down the left side was excellent and it’s given us another option where we needed it.”
