Ian Holloway will take his QPR squad to Portugal for a pre-season training camp in late June, soon after the players return from their summer break.

The Rs boss has taken both Blackpool and Millwall to the Cascade Wellness & Lifestyle Resort in Lagos.

Fans will be unable to join the squad on the trip as it's behind-closed-doors in order to build up fitness ahead of the 2017/18 season.

Holloway told the club's official website: “I'm delighted we're going back to a place that I'm familiar with - and I know is absolutely perfect for a pre-season training camp.

"It'll be work, work, work work, work. There are no games on this trip so it’s not one for the fans to have to worry about booking anything up – everything we do will be behind-closed-doors because the first week of pre-season is so crucial.

"This is purely a camp for the lads to work three-times-a-day to get some important early work in the tank.

"I got where I was as a player through good fitness levels – and that all came from really good pre-season campaigns.

"It's a wonderful venue and I'm already looking forward to working the boys hard."
