QPR’s boss reckons he is struggling to line up new players for next season – because he has no idea where he the club might be.

But Harry Redknapp (pic) hinted agents have already been on the phone offering Championship standard replacements if the worse comes to the worse and Rangers plunge out of the Premier League.

He said: “It’s hard at the moment because you can’t plan ahead.

“People ring me up about players, but I tell them I don’t know what sort of players I’m looking for.

“I’m not looking at Championship players. I think and am confident I’ll need ones for the Premier League.”

The manager was giving little away about his future if he does fail to keep Rs in the top flight after a 16-year absence, insisting the decision will be taken by those above him.

"It’s up to the chairman,” Redknapp said, “If the board say ‘look Harry we need to go a different way’, that’s up to them – but I’m happy here.”
