QPR manager Harry Redknapp has named 37 points as the minimum needed if the club are to stay up.

The Rangers gaffer reckons he needs five wins and a couple of draws out of the last 10 Premier League games if the great escape from the bottom sees them leap the barbed wire.

Redknapp (pic) admits it’s a tall order, and he’s not entirely sure 37 will be enough – but he’s willing to take the plunge on predictions.

He said: “We need five wins at least, and a draw or two. I’ll take 37 points and walk away now and take my chances.”

The gaffer is also hoping results go for him elsewhere and a draw between fellow strugglers Aston Villa and Reading when the two meet at the Madejski Stadium at the same time Rs take on Sunderland at home will fit the bill nicely.

Redknapp added: “The draw would be an ideal result for us at Villa and Reading. We’ve got to play both of them yet and although it’s away, the pressure in those type of games on us is not as great.”
