QPR boss Neil Warnock is remaining tight-lipped on speculation linking him with a January move for Jermain Defoe .
Warnock wants to bring in as many as SIX players when the transfer window re-opens in the new year, with the Spurs and England striker touted for a £10million switch to Loftus Road .
But he refused to confirm whether the hitman was one of his targets.
He said: “It's been mentioned in the newspapers, but it wouldn't be right for me to talk about other club's players.
“It's true to say there are names on that list. You have to knock some off at times as you realise they're beyond our means at this moment in time. It doesn't mean we can't look at people like that.”
