NEIL Warnock insists he holds no grudges against Liverpool – but blames former boss Rafa Benitez for Sheffield United's relegation to the Championship in 2007.

The Reds fielded a weakened team as they went down 1-0 Fulham on the penultimate weekend of the season – a result which in the end secured Premier League survival for the Whites.

Warnock's Blades finished a point behind Fulham, and the QPR boss still blames Benitez for playing a second-string.

However, the QPR boss insists he holds no bad feeling towards the club ahead of tomorrow's trip to Anfield.

He said: “All I was disappointed in was Benitez – I've got nothing against Liverpool because I think it's a fabulous club.

“I've always got on with the previous people and I think Kenny Daglish is fantastic, but I'll never forgive Benitez for playing a reserve team.

“I could understand it if the Champions League final was the following week, but it was 18 days away and he didn't give two hoots.”
