IT WILL be no cakewalk back from the Championship if QPR are relegated claims their boss.

Harry Redknapp (pic) is fighting a battle to keep Rs in the Premier League just two seasons after the club returned to the top flight after a 16-year absence, but the manager shudders at the fate that’s befallen Wolves this season.

The Midlands giants suffered the drop in 2012, and will do well to avoid back-to-back relegations - despite all best intentions back in August.

Rangers may be forced to sell their most expensive stars as they rebuild in contrast to Wolverhampton, who are still only a defeat away from the Championship drop zone.

QPR's manager is plotting to beat Wigan today, knowing the days of an odds-on instant return from the second tier are long gone.

Redknapp said: “You look at Wolves, and they kept their squad from last year, and they’ve struggled like hell.

“The Championship is a nasty league for fighting tough battles.”
