Jimmy Floyd Hasselbaink wants to field an experimental side at Cardiff - but the QPR boss wonders if he has troops up to the task.

With Rangers heading for mid-table safety, JFH needs to look have at players for next season as he plans ahead.

What he doesn't want is a team that gets hammered and suffers as a result, as he told www.qpr.co.uk

"I need to give some other players experience, but I want to give them experience in a very-strong side," he said.

“That is the best for them. If you make too many changes and give them experience in a weaker side, it’s not right for them – it can do more harm than good.”

A bevy of players are out of contract at the end of an indifferent campaign that include Junior Holiett, Alejandro Faurlin, Karl Henry, while the futures of Clint Hill and Watford loanee Gabriele Angella is also up for grabs.

Return: Clint Hill

South Wales won't see the latter, who is suffering with a hip problem. But Hill returns after a hamstring injury.

James Perch is touch and go on a thigh injury, as exclusively revealed here on GetWestLondon, and Jamie Mackie (hamstring) looks unlikely to make another appearance as he nurses the same problem to the same leg he injured in September.

“It will be a test – but that’s what we want,” Hasselbaink added.

“When you are a little boy, wanting to be a professional footballer, you want to play in full stadiums with a great atmosphere – and believe me, the Cardiff fans can generate a good atmosphere. “You have to enjoy it, embrace it, and take it in your stride.”
