QPR intend to put out the best team they can against Swindon in tonight’s Capital Cup tie – because their manager reckons he has little choice.

Harry Redknapp (pic) admitted he was short of reserves and wary of throwing bodies in just for the sake of it.

The League One side has made an indifferent campaign with only one league victory so far, but the Rs boss is taking no chances even though the game is at home.

“We want to win and we’ll be putting out a good side,” said the manager.

“Besides we’re not overloaded, and in recent games we’ve had to put three kids on the bench.

“We’re trying to bring people in, but it was encouraging last week to see a young player come off the bench – and we’ll crack on as we are if we have to.”
