Ian Holloway has been highly impressed by the young players at QPR's disposal.

A number of academy products have featured for Rangers this season with Ryan Manning being the pick of the bunch.

With players away on international duty it meant a chance for Holloway to run the rule over some of the players in Paul Hall's U23 side.

He said: “We called up a few of the young lads. We adapted the training and made it more physical and tactical.

“We're still keeping up the same practices and the same discipline behind the practice; pressing and closing and passing accurately.

“You can't do any structure. We did most of that on Wednesday and I can look at two different teams and keep five fully fit for the Tuesday game which we've never been able to do before. I'm delighted with the choices I'm going to have.

“All the young lads caught my eye. They've got the right attitude and the enthusiasm around the club is what I want.

“They've all done well. Ebere (Eze) even got called up by Nigeria so I lost him and I quite like him. I lost another mid-break as they wanted to look at him.”
