QPR are fingers crossed Scott Parker will join them and not Fulham.
Rs boss Harry Redknapp admitted a deal has been done between the club and Tottenham – and now comes the hard part: waiting for the player’s decision.
Harry said: “We’ve made a good offer to Scott and made Tottenham a good offer, and its’ up to Scott to make his mind up.
“We feel we’re a club who want to get back to Premier League.”
Although the manager insists a double swoop for Spurs forward Jermain Defoe is a long way off, Redknapp reckons playing for QPR in the Championship will not affect any chances Defore nurtures with England.
The Rs boss explained: “If you’re good enough, it’s better to be at a club and playing than at Tottenham and not playing.
“England manager Roy Hodgson knows what he (Defoe) can do. So whether he plays here or in the Premier League, Roy knows what he wants.”
