QPR have announced a training partnership with an innovative football technology company in order to give their academy an extra edge.

TOCA, founded by ex-Fulham man Eddie Lewis, has become a leading supplementary training system in the US and now QPR have partnered with the company for use in their academy.

The training system employs a smart phone controlled ball machine, the TOCA Touch Trainer, which precisely delivers custom-designed training balls at specified speeds, locations, and trajectories for an accelerated training experience and can deliver 10-matches worth of touches in an hour.

The club is beginning to implement the programme into all it's academy training programmes and commercial activities immediately.

QPR’s Technical Director, Chris Ramsey, told www.qpr.co.uk: “We’re really looking forward to using the TOCA product in the Academy.

“We’ve trialed the product and we’ve been pleased with what we’ve seen so far, so it’s an exciting option for us to use with the players going forward.”
