Charlie Sheringham has been ruled out of tomorrow's trip to Portsmouth with concussion after a freak training ground accident.

The Dons forward clashed heads with skipper Alan Bennett earlier this week and was taken to hospital for a scan.

Sheringham received the all-clear from doctors, but will sit out the Fratton Park clash as a precaution.

Barry Fuller is still sidelined, although his knee injury is not as bad as first feared, while Callum Kennedy (ankle), Charlie Strutton (leg) and Peter Sweeney (foot) are also out.

Meanwhile, boss Neal Ardley wants his players to restore some pride after back-to-back defeats.

He told Dons Player : “We all care and we want to put in performances as a team that the fans can be proud of.

"We are going to try so hard to do that in the 16 games that are left.”
