Alex Neil believes QPR are one of the hardest sides to prepare his Preston side to face - because of the vast amounts of formations they've used.

Ian Holloway has used four different formations with varying personnel in their last four games as he tries to find a way to that works for the Rs, and get them out of a four-game losing streak.

Preston started the season well, but now find themselves with just one win to their name in nine games, that coming last Tuesday in a 2-1 victory over Bristol City at Ashton Gate.

And Neil believes it will be difficult not knowing how QPR set up, but will look to focus on his own side: “I’ve watched their last four games and they have played four different formations with different personnel so it’s probably one of the hardest to prepare for in terms of not knowing how they set up but we will focus on our own play."

After Holloway's comments after his side's 2-2 draw with Brentford, the Preston boss knows he'll be bringing his usual passion to Deepdale.

He added: “I know how much the club means to him and he will come with a real passion and want his team to come and win the game."
