Chelsea kicked off the new season and perhaps a new era to come from behind to win at Turf Moor.

Debuts for Thibaut Courtois, Cesc Fabregas and Diego Costa saw all three heavily involved in the game's key moments and returning hero Didier Drogba came off the bench.

It was Fabregas who particularly caught manager Jose Mourinho’s eye and he agreed with the decision to name the Spaniard man of the match in the 3-1 win at Burnley.

He said: "I agree completely with Cesc as man of the match. He controlled the tempo of the game and was responsible for the best phase of our play."

Mourinho also reiterated his desire to hang onto goalkeeper Petr Cech despite selecting Courtois for his Premier League debut in Lancashire.

He added: "I hope Petr doesn't want to go and I hope he doesn't have offers to go and, if he does have offers, he refuses to go.”
