Fulham were relegated from the Premier League after they crashed to a heavy defeat at the Britannia Stadium on Saturday.
Goals from Peter Odemwingie, Marko Arnautovic, Oussama Assaidi and Jonathan Walters earned Stoke a comfortable 4-1 win to send the Cottagers heading towards the Championship, despite Kieran Richardson's consolation.
Their relegation was confirmed after Sunderland secured a shock win at Manchester United to leave the Whites stuck in the bottom three.
Boss Felix Magath has apologised to fans after being unable to save them from the drop.
He said: “I feel very sad. I have to apologise for not managing the situation. The club asked me to come – I tried. At the end it was better than before but not good enough.
“I didn’t expect it. We were fighting against relegation. The thing is you can never say any player would like to see relegation, but they didn’t fight enough.”
