Troy Deeney's treble helped Watford run riot at Fulham as Kit Symons suffered his heaviest defeat as boss on Friday night.
The Hornets ended a nightmare run of four-straight defeats in fine fashion at Craven Cottage as the hosts were forced to play for more than an hour with 10 men after keeper Marcus Bettinelli saw red for bringing down Matej Vydra.
Almen Abdi also bagged a brace as Watford moved back into the play-off places with a 5-0 thumping to leave the Whites looking over their shoulder.
Symons said: “We started very poorly and Watford came out all guns blazing. When we went down to 10 men and fell 2-0 behind it left us with a mountain to climb. It was very difficult from there."
