Chris Ramsey has been sacked by QPR and replaced by Neil Warnock on an interim basis.

The Hoops boss endured a difficult spell at Loftus Road with issues outside of his control playing a key part in his struggles.

He took over after the January transfer window had closed without Rangers making any changes to the squad and Harry Redknapp decided he couldn't carry on.

QPR were relegated at the end of last season following a 6-0 hammering at Manchester City and were able to cull some of the deadwood.

However, their midfield still has been a cause for concern and, despite having Charlie Austin up front, have struggled for form in the Championship leading Rangers to part company with him on Wednesday night.
