Chelsea's bid to make it eight wins on the bounce was surprising thwarted by West Ham's stubborn resistance last night.
It was just one of those nights when no matter how much the Blues threw at the Hammers, it all came to nothing.
Demba Ba and Frank Lampard went close late on and Samuel Eto’o tried to cheekily poke the ball into the net after it had been left unattended by Adrian in anticipation of a free-kick.
But referee Neil Swarbrick decided Eto'o had jumped the gun and the Blues were left to wonder what might have been.
In the aftermath, Chelsea manager Jose Mourinho accused Big Sam of playing 19th century footbal l as the Hammers held on for a share of the spoils.
The Chelsea boss was unimpressed with West Ham's 'park the bus' strategy and said it made a travesty of the Premier League's qualities.
