AFC Wimbledon midfielder Dean Parrett has revealed the conversation he had with team-mate Lyle Taylor before taking the penalty which put the Dons 3-0 up on Tuesday night.

Up against the ten men of League One play-off chasers Rochdale, Parrett and Taylor both wanted the spot-kick after Andy Barcham had been brought down.

And Parrett says a quick, simple game fell in his favour against forward Taylor, who had just moments before put the Dons 2-0 up.

"I wasn't guaranteed to take it," Parrett told Get West London.

"We actually played rock, paper, scissors to see who won, which was quite funny with Lyle.

"Right there and then - he said he was taking it, so I said rock, paper, scissors and naturally he put his hand up and I beat him!

"I went for paper, he went rock. So it was happy days for me.

"There were a few minds games before I took the penalty but I picked a corner and just thought I'd hit it well."
