NEDUM Onuoha insists he's got nothing to prove ahead of his return to Manchester City at the weekend.

The QPR defender came through the ranks at the Etihad Stadium, going on to make more than 100 appearances for the Blues.

However, the 25-year-old was frozen out by boss Roberto Mancini this season after being left out of City's 25-man squad.

Onuoha quit Manchester for Loftus Road in January, and insists he's just focused on getting a result to keep Rangers up rather than getting one over his former manager.

He told the Chronicle : “City's a club close to my heart, but that's my past now and this is my future.

“We want to be in the Premier League next season, so QPR's my main focus.

“I don't feel I have anything to prove. It makes no difference to me who I'm playing.

“After the game I'll still be a QPR player so all I'm concerned about is being recognised as a good player for this football club.”
