JAMIE Mackie has completed a £1million move to Nottingham Forest after forcing his way out of QPR.

The Scotland international has penned a three-year deal with Rangers' Championship rivals after having a transfer request accepted last night.

Mackie was believed to be unhappy with his lack of first-team opportunities at Loftus Road, and with boss Harry Redknapp in the market for another striker, the 27-year-old has been allowed to move on.

"It's a massive opportunity, a massive club and I'm so excited," he said.

"There are quality players already here and a top manager, who is extremely ambitious. I am massively ambitious too and I cannot wait."

The former Plymouth forward made 94 appearances since his move to W12 three years ago, scoring 18 goals.
