Yesterday proved to be a quiet transfer deadline day for Brentford, with no new faces coming in.

The only transfer activity at Griffin Park saw out-of-favour centre-back Karleigh Osborne join Oxford United on a one-month loan deal.

Many Bees fans were hoping to see a new striker after boss Andy Scott was given the green light to replace Alan Connell, who joined Bournemouth on Friday.

However, Scott could yet move for a loan striker as the transfer window does not apply to short-term loans.

The Bees take on Yeovil tonight in the Johnstone's Paint Trophy first round, although there will be no return to Griffin Park for Lloyd Owusu and the Glovers yesterday sold him to Cheltenham.
