QPR striker Loic Remy has joined Newcastle United on a season-long loan deal.

The French frontman scored six goals in 13 starts after his £8million arrival from Marseille in January, but was unable to save Rangers from relegation to the Championship.

And the 26-year-old has now been given the green light to move to Newcastle, who tried to sign him earlier this year, after QPR snapped up Charlie Austin last week.
