NEIL Warnock hailed QPR's walking wounded as they stretched their lead at the top with victory against Leicester.

Ishmael Miller's late goal earned the points at Loftus Road as the Rangers boss celebrated his first anniversary in charge with a win.

"We've had [Heidar] Helguson and Bradley Orr who haven't kicked a ball this week," said Warnock.

"[Adel] Taarabt has not trained at all this week, while [Wayne] Routledge went home with a virus yesterday which should have kept him out for three or four days, yet he rings me this morning and says he wants to play.

"There has been a lot of character and gritty performances today considering the circumstances we've had this week."
