John Mousinho has left Brentford to join League One rivals Wycombe Wanderers after agreeing with Bees boss Andy Scott to cancel his contract.

The popular utility man joined Brentfoord in 2005 after a recommendation from the son of the manager at the time, Martin Allen.

He was deployed in a whole host of positions, from right-back to central midfield, and even went in goal after Clark Masters was sent off against Gillingham and the Bees had no keeper on the bench.

Mousinho looked to have made a central midfield berth his own at the start of last season, and scored his first goal in the 2-1 win over Barnet last August.

But an injury saw him sidelined for a few months, and when Terry Butcher was sacked, Mousinho failed to nail down a regular place under Andy Scott, who transfer-listed him earlier this summer.

The Isleworth-born 22-year-old made 64 appearanes for the Bees in all, scoring twice.
