Fernando Torres could be back in action for Chelsea within two weeks.

The club-record signing sustained knee ligament damage in the 3-1 win over Manchester United earlier this month.

Jose Mourinho has confirmed the Spaniard is progressing well on the road to recovery and should be in contention for selection again in around 14 days’ time.

Samuel Eto’o and Senegalese striker Demba Ba will continue to battle for a starting berth in the absence of Torres.

Torres has made 23 appearances in the famous blue shirt this season and scored eight times for the Stamford Bridge club.
