HE MAY seem cautious and pragmatic as he prowls the touchline – but away from the dugout, Andre Villas Boas likes nothing better than tearing off into the mountains on a motorbike.

The Chelsea boss revealed his passion for road-hogs, as well as classic cars, in the run-up to the Blues match against Bolton tomorrow.

And he plans to use the forthcoming international break to once more take to the high roads on the back of his favourite beast.

Villas Boas said: “Everybody has their passions. I have classic cars and five motorbikes, which are my escape and my passion.

“I am a fan of Formula One and Super Bikes, and I like to ride up into the mountains. Driving is very adrenaline fuelled, and a release.

“I don't have my bikes over here. I am looking forward to international week so I can back to Portugal and take my bike up into the mountains again.

“I started on a heavy engine straight away, with a Yamaha 350, and I had an accident when I broke my arm – but I'm more careful now.

“That was when I was youth team manager at Porto. I would like to do the Paris to Dakar Rally one day, but that's perhaps one for when I retire.”
