Young Brentford FC striker Ross Montague has revealed he will miss the first six weeks of the season.

The Bees academy graduate has been sidelined since the tail end of last season with a back injury.

But the 19-year-old frontman - who was handed a one-year extension to his contract by boss Andy Scott - admitted he is not going to be fully fit until the end of September at the earliest.

He said: "The rehab's going slowly, but it's showing signs of getting better."
