Brentford, Fulham and QPR's midweek Championship fixtures will be shown live on Sky TV from next season, assuming all three clubs are in the division, as part of the new rights deal agreed with the EFL, which is worth £120million a year.

Currently, the west London sides have eight midweek fixtures over the course of the campaign and all of those could now be shown on the box as part of an interactive service.

Many of these clash with Champions League nights, with Sky hoping to claw back some of the market from BT, who have exclusive rights to Europe's premier club competition.

In addition, all 72 EFL clubs will be allowed to stream any fixture kicking off outside the Saturday 3pm window that isn't shown live on Sky.

Details of the revolutionary five-year contract which was communicated to the 72 member clubs last night are to be announced later today.

The deal will also include 15 EFL Cup ties as well as coverage of all 15 play-off matches.
