The Carabao Cup second round draw is set to take place this evening following the conclusion of Bury vs Sunderland.

Following QPR's 1-0 victory over Northampton Town, they go into the hat for the next round, but look set to face a difficult tie.

The 25 highest placed teams from last season's league campaign are all seeded for the draw, but QPR fall outside of that, meaning that they will face a tough test in the next round.

13 Premier League teams go into the hat in this round, including the likes of West Ham United, Crystal Palace, Newcastle United and Leicester City, while 12 Championship teams are also seeded, a group which includes west London rivals Fulham and Brentford, meaning QPR could potentially face a mouth-watering second round cup tie.

All teams are split into a Northern and Southern section, meaning that the Hoops fans shouldn't have too far to travel regardless.

The teams who QPR could face in the next round are:

AFC Bournemouth

Brighton

Cardiff City

Crystal Palace

Fulham

Norwich City

Reading

Southampton

Swansea

Watford

West Ham

Ties are set to be played week commencing August 21st.
