QPR midfielder Massimo Luongo has said that he's enjoying this campaign more than any in his career so far.

The Australian International has shown his qualities in fits and starts in past seasons but has really kicked on this term, putting in consistent displays week after week in the Championship, leading to him being nominated for the PFA Player of the Month award for October.

Asked by GetWestLondon if he's playing the best football of his career, he said: "I think so.

"I’ve enjoyed every season but I’m really enjoying this one. It’s just the fact that our style suits me a lot more. Under Chris Ramsey I was playing a little bit further forward and I wasn’t exactly in the midfield as much as I’d like to have been.

"We weren’t as aggressive as we are now and the players we had weren’t as aggressive. It worked for us back then but I wouldn’t say I enjoyed it as much as I do now. We’ve got the freedom of players, and the partnerships that we’ve worked on are really strong."

It's been an excellent start to the campaign for Luongo, but he's certain he can improve further, saying: "I’m still building. There are games where I wish I was more involved in and got on the ball a lot more, but it’s more of a positive experience this season.”
