Martin Jol is in discussion with Olympiakos to take a first manager role since getting sacked by Fulham.

The Dutchman, also previously in charge at Tottenham, has been out of work since the axe fell at Craven Cottage in December 2013 after a run of six straight defeats.

The end came after an abject 3–0 defeat to West Ham in which Fulham failed to register a single shot on target.

Hot seats: Rene Meulensteen (second right) and Jol (R)

Whites replaced Jol with Rene Meulensteen and dismissed the second Dutchman in a row just 70 days later.

Successor Felix Magath fared no better as the club nose-dived out of the Premier League after 13 years of top-flight status.

Jol is reportedly in competition with Elche manager Fran Escriba at the Greek giant who removed Portuguese Vítor Pereira last week.
