Martin Allen has backed his side to bounce back from FA Cup disappointment as they face Torquay at The Hive tonight.

The Bees went down 3-1 to Wycombe Wanderers in the first round proper at the weekend despite John Akinde giving the hosts an early lead.

Allen said after the game: “We wanted to take them and although we have put up a brave, valiant effort, we have had a defeat, but no doubt they will bounce back.”

Mad Dog will be looking for a solid performance from his side as they look to continue their stay at the top of the conference against Torquay who sit in 12th place.

Barnet are currently nine points clear of Grimsby at the top of the table and three points here will be crucial if they want to extend their lead.

These two sides have met 28 times in League football with Barnet just edging it with 11 wins to Torquay's eight.
