Could Brentford be about to lose another starlet for nothing?

Back in the summer, highly rated Bees youngster Joshua Bohui was snapped up by Premier League giants Manchester United .

The 17 year old had only the previous year signed a two-year scholarship deal with the Bees, and ended last season as their academy's top scorer.

The England U17 international had been with Brentford since the age of 11, but the Bees still received peanuts in the way of compensation for his exit.

Reports are now linking another Bees scholar, winger Luke Dunn, with a move away from Griffin Park, with a number of clubs apparently battling for his signature.

Like Bohui, Dunn is aged 17 and signed scholarship forms with Brentford last year, but is yet to sign a professional contract with the club.

The cost of running an academy compared to the paltry compensation when bigger clubs come in for players was one of the reasons Brenford shut theirs earlier this year in favour of running a B side for older talent closer to a first tea step up.
