MARTIN Jol wants to tie down Moussa Dembele to a new long-term deal at Fulham.
The Belgian ace has excelled in a central midfield role for the Whites in recent weeks, with Premier League champions Manchester United linked with a summer swoop for the highly-rated 24-year-old.
Dembele still has more than 12 months to run on his contract at Craven Cottage , but boss Jol wants the former AZ Alkmaar star to remain in SW6 for years to come.
He said: “We're never happy with the length of contract because it finishes in 2013.
“We are trying to communicate with his agent. He will be here in the next couple of weeks so we will sit down and have a conversation.“
Meanwhile, Jol insists Clint Dempsey is going nowhere.
The American is hot property after smashing 18 goals in all competitions this season.
Dempsey still has a year remaining on his deal and the Whites have opened talks to extend his stay by the Thames.
And Jol insists he will resist any temptation to cash in on the Texan in the summer.
The Dutchman added: “He [Clint] will be here next season. His contract expires in 2013 but I would like him to stay for a longer period.”
