Brentford FC boss Andy Scott has finally clinched the signing of Southend United striker Charlie MacDonald.
The 27-year-old former Ebbsfleet hitman became Scott's eight summer signing in a deal reported by the Southend press to be worth around £50,000 - but which will be undisclosed.
Brentford insist the fee is not not as high as £50k, and the final figure will be based around goals and appearances.
Scott had two previous offers turned down for MacDonald before the Blues accepted a third bid, and the player put pen-to-paper earlier today.
MacDonald could make his Bees' debut in Friday night's friendly with Ipswich Town.
