BRENTFORD have offered Charlie MacDonald a new two-year deal that would keep him at Griffin Park until 2012.
We told you last week that the Bees were set to table an extension to the 10-goal former Charlton frontman.
MacDonald's advisors met the club on Tuesday, and are due to meet again next week.
And the 29-year-old hopes to have the contract ironed out sooner rather than later.
He said: "Negotiations are ongoing, and nothing has been finalised yet.
"Everything was positive, and I'm happy with the length of contract they've offered me.
"There's still a few things that need to be sorted out, but I want it done as soon as possible, as the gaffer does."
