DAVID Luiz says he has no real preference about whether he plays in midfield or defence for Chelsea – his only desire is to play.
The Brazilian centre-half, recently playing a starring role in midfield, has been the subject of much debate among Blues fans over where his best position lies.
Speaking ahead of tonight's Steaua Bucharest Europa League match, the 25-year-old was asked which of the two roles he favoured.
He said: “I prefer inside the 11 to start. I don't care if I play midfield or centre defence, I enjoy to play football.
“So some games I'll have a plan, and Rafa [Benitez] will always play me what is the best for the game. I will try my best to help the team.”
