QPR's clash against Lokomotive Leipzig appears to be the ideal opportunity for the club's talented youngsters to make a case for a spot in Ian Holloway's starting eleven when they host Reading in the Championship in two weeks time.
At least five of six of today's starting 11 have a realistic chance of forcing their way into the starting line-up, and today's match against the German fourth tier side is the ideal place to show exactly what they can do.
The centre of midfield is already highly competitive with Ariel Borysiuk, Josh Scowen, Sean Goss, Jordan Cousins, Ryan Manning and Massimo Luongo challenging for just two starting spots, with all six competitive options for midfield.
However today is a great chance for the likes of Darnell Furlong, Jack Robinson, Luke Freeman and Pawel Wszolek to make an impact.
All of these positions appear to still be up for grabs, and so it'll be interested to see if these lads can showcase what they're about to give Ollie a selection headache going into next week's final pre-season clash against Bournemouth at Loftus Road.
